Metals Journey
I achieved my A.A. in Jewelry and Metalsmithing in 2022, fully discovering my passion for metals after previously being interested in making jewelry for fun. I found conquering my fear of fire to be easier through learning techniques that encouraged such unique products despite a tedious and intimidating process. I thoroughly found my love in enameling and fabrication, fascinated in the ways I could sculpt metal and glass. Until I can fully achieve my studio set up of my dreams, I will continue to make beaded and wire jewelry.

Key Works
Helpless (2023) is a copper metalwork of a beetle, which was formed from a 4 x 4 sheet without adding or removing material. Made of a strong, durable material, it commands a defensive stance upright, but when placed on its back it appears helpless, which resonates with my own feelings.

Perspectives(2021) are earrings made out of copper and brass, displaying the techniques of roller printing, soldering, and patina finishes. These earrings showcase inverse and opposite symmetrical designs, where a baobab tree is on fire, eyes being shut, and the other has a globe pattern with Africa at the center, eyes open on the triangle. They are meant to symbolize with ignorance, our planet will cease to exist, and with united perspective, we can have a world that can flourish.
